Course Objectives:
- Identify waste issues, waste management policies and regulations
- Acquire understanding of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) to plan and implement a 3R Programme
- Apply understanding of Mandatory Waste Reporting (MWR) to prepare MWR submissions
- Conduct waste audit of appropriate scope with intention to implement 3R measures
- Apply understanding of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) to plan and implement a 3R Programme
Course Content:
- This course incorporates the Zero Waste Manager course supplemented with an overarching “S3RAW” methodology of “Sustainable 3R through Auditing and Waste reporting” complemented by effective waste management and material recovery efforts.
- This course will equip learners with the knowledge and abilities essential for sustainable development as an Actioneer (execution level) within an organization. (Information on WMRAS Academy Sustainability Series Progression Pathway: Actioneer –> Practitioner –> Mentor)
Minimum Entry Requirement:
- Middle managers and/or supervisors holding full-time or concurrent roles in waste management and recycling within their own and/or their clients’ premises
- Could be performing other functions (for example, facilities, property management, operations, sustainability and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), etc.)
- Should possess a basic understanding of waste management and recycling
- Appointed or to-be-appointed Zero Waste Managers
