Launch of WSH Guidelines
Waste Management (WM) consists of collection, transport, recovery and disposal of waste, including the supervision of such operations and after-care of disposal sites. In the course of work, Waste Management workers are exposed to various risks relating to hazardous materials, slips, trips and falls as well as injuries from machinery use and heavy lifting.
To help general waste collection companies be even safer, WMRAS together with tripartite partners, associations and agencies has produced the “Workplace Safety and Health Guidelines for General Waste Management”. This guidelines provides practical WSH guidance for waste collectors and enhances their WSH knowledge to carry out waste collection safely.
